The Pocket Cafe Bar is a cosy, independent venue in the heart of Keswick, offering a warm welcome to both locals and visitors. We specialise in delicious homemade pizzas made fresh in-house, with 16 beer lines pouring a rotating mix of local ales, lagers, and carefully chosen European beers. Add to that our regular live music and events, and you’ve got a relaxed, friendly space where great food, drink, and atmosphere come together.
Our Team
In September 2021, at the age of 22, I (Kerry) took over the bar, fulfilling a long-held dream of mine. Fresh out of university, I had always imagined running my own business, especially one where I could share my love for music. Having worked part-time at the bar under its previous owner and growing up in the area, I had some idea of how the bar operated…

After some significant renovations in February 2022, the bar became the The Pocket Cafe Bar. Since then, it's been an exciting journey of growth and learning. Despite the inevitable challenges, I'm incredibly proud of what we've achieved. With the support of my fantastic team, led by my managers Sally and Becky and our dedicated supervisors and staff, we've created a welcoming and special place for everyone to enjoy.
